Playing songs on the guitar is not difficult if you are regular in your practice. All you need to play songs is understanding a few chords & a few rhythms. I recommend practicing 30 minutes everyday in beginning stages. This will help you pick up a few songs in a couple of months.

First, practice the chords: make sure you can switch between them cleanly and quickly. Then, strum through them starting with simple patterns. Progressively advance to more difficult strumming patterns.

Yes. Scales are very important because 1) You will get a hold of playing leads. 2) It helps you understand music theory and composition concepts that takes you to the next level of your guitar playing skills.

There are 2 type of guitars. 1) Acoustic. 2) Electric

I suggest building a strong foundation on an acoustic guitar. On the contrary it is easier to play an electric guitar than an acoustic but there are techniques on electric that will come well once you have a good hold on the acoustic.
To be precise, an acoustic guitar player can play electric easily but someone starting off with electric will face challenges going back to acoustic.
In the end, its a personal choice

You will get a cover up class in case you miss it. However, a follow up on student’s end would be required if student missed due to unavailability. You will get cover up only in the month when you have missed. For example – If you miss a class in January then its cover up will be done only in January and not in months after that to avoid backlog classes.

If the teacher is not available, he will make sure to fix up a cover up class with the student in that same month.
